SP:HEALTHY COOKING IN LOS CALIFAS FROM CORDOBA, SPAIN

Here you are some photos about the sessions we dedicated to have a Healthy Diet and the importance of Cooking in a Healthy way. We worked in class about Food Pyramid and healthy menus and recipes at home, making graphs on the students habits. Then, they and their parents cooked together some healthy recipes such as "Gazpacho" (our cold tomato soup), fruit salad, "Paella" (a traditional rice meal)... sharing them with all of us.

FI_The Praise week

In April we all partners spent THE PRAISE WEEK in our schools.
We all concentrated to our strengths.
We learned that it's very important to look for the GOOD things in ourselves and our friends. The more we look for, the more we find. 😁

In this video you can see what we did in Finland.

GR Praise Week

Our school successfully completed the praise week from 23/04 to 27/04.
Several activities were organized in school and all students participated.
The activities per day were:

MONDAY: Strengths used: Loving and being loved
Students from the fifth and sixth grade created hearts and constructed the tree of love.

TUESDAY: Strengths used: Friendship / social intelligence, Kindness
Students from fourth grade performed the following activity:
5 ways to be friendly
In this activity each group of students presented “a way to be friendly” in the rest of the class by dramatizing everyday situations where people show kindness and friendliness. The rest of class had to understand the hidden message of each short presentation and discuss about it. Our conclusions are the captions of the photos.

WEDNESDAY: Strengths used: Prudence/caution
Students from fourth grade performed the following activity:
The secret friend game
Every morning each student picks a piece of paper with a name on it. This is the name of a fellow student whom he/she have to take care of for the rest of the day, but he/she have to keep it a secret. At the end of the day they try to guess who their secret friend was and finally they reveal their identities. This creates a friendly atmosphere in the classroom in a very playful way.

THURSDAY: Strengths used: Love of Learning, Gratitude, Creativity
Students from fifth grade collaborated and cooked one salty and one sweet recipe.
Students from first grade colored balloons with things that make them feel grateful.

FRIDAY: Strengths used: Self-control, Forgiveness, Kindness

Students from second and third grade tried all week to do good deeds and in the end of the week they constructed the tree of good deeds with every day's good deeds.
Moreover they colored words of strengths and read stories of them.

A video was created with photos of all the activities.

The Children's Rights Day

At the beginning of the day we went to the auditorium
and we watched videos about children rights.
Then we watched video about UNICEF,
and the kids told us how it helps we are doing this day.
Then we ran between the chairs out of the doors. We watched the videos 20 minutes.

Here we arrive to the hall.

We parkoured in the hall. There was track. It was not hard but just very funny.
There were tracks on which to climb
and a trampoline from where we jumped onto a mattress.

Our project mascot Simo led us to the Sport's Hall.
We had a special-dance-teacher-lesson. It was fun.

"Banana tag" is very fun game.If you are "the tagger" you try to catch other players. When you catch other player he "changes to be a banana", and you must stay still. Your friend can save him if you "peel" him.

We ran the relay race on our swimming hall sports gym. We passed a heart in our hand and we ran a relay race. The group who was ready earlier than others was the winner.

We also had a disco!! Disco was really awesome and fun. There was really good music. Everyone was dancing with friends. In disco we have dancing challenge.
We had awesome lights in disco.

FI World's Heart Day / The Red Sports Day 29.9.2017

Dear readers, about "The Red Sports Day"

In our school we had a special day in the World's Heart Day 29.9.2017. Pupils and teachers had red clothes on. We did some nice activities together. The pupils had designed the activities. We all walked to the stadium, and did the activities in mixed-class-groups. Here you can see a few photos of our activities.

In the red sports day we walked to a playing field that is named Honkala.
And there we did a warm up with music that is named Crazy Frog Axel F.

"Between two fires" is like dodge-ball. We played it with our god-pupils. It was pretty fun.
Then we played "The Last Couple Out of  The Oven". We didn't play it  for too long because there was no time left.
Text by Paavo

"The World's Heart Day" is celebrated annually on September 29.
The day's goal is to increase information of heart disease
and encourage people into good lifestyles.
Text by Saku

In "Red Sports Day" you must be dressed in red clothes.
The class who is most red on clothes win. 4.B won.
Text by Jami

The last game of the day was "Balloon Fight"
It is a game where you tie a balloon with string to your leg,
and you try to destroy other's balloons by stepping on them with your foot.
When your own balloon is destroyed, you're out of the game.
You are not allowed to use your hands.
